15 1 15: An International Specialty Coffee Tasting
Date: 18th of April 2026
We have tons of different coffee from international roasters at the roastery, lets enjoy them together.
Tilo and me have been buying a lot of coffee recently and want to share the joy. We invite everyone to the roastery. Instead of cupping, we will offer a filter coffee with background information every 15 Minutes. Come, stay as long as you like.
You can buy entry at the door, the day off.
We are working on a fika agreement currently, but no promises yet. Check back for updates.
Climate Change and Coffee; Coffee defects tasting with This Side Up
Wow! We had a lovely time yesterday! 30 attendees from coffee professionals to coffee beginners have joined us for a beautiful afternoon full of coffee experiences.
First we treated everyone to a live roasting session and cupping comparison of the same coffee: One fresh and the other one week “old”. The result: The majority distinguished the fresh from the older, describing a clearer flavor profile in the “old” one. This simple test shows that resting Coffee after roasting is important for optimal quality!
Then @maartenvankeulen of @thissideupcoffees had the audience taste the same Coffee, one good harvest another affected by phenolic defect, caused by rainier-than-usual weather. Everyone tasted this and we would all much rather avoid such consequences of climate change. He led us down the rabbit hole, made us understand the farmer’s perspective and the discussion afterwards could not be stopped and continued well into the evening.
Everything subsided in a cupping of This Side Up’s recent beautiful offering, by wonderful producers.
Everything was accompanied by @karlmagnus.cafe ‘s excellent gluten-free baked goods that you can order from them for birthdays and other festivities. Thank you Kalle for your support. Everyone loves the Peanutbutter bars and Lemon Cakes! Reach out to him!
